LitBuy Tracking: Find Your Parcel and Handle Missing Updates
Find the right tracking number, understand gaps between scans and prepare a useful support request when progress is unclear.
First identify whether you are tracking the seller’s domestic shipment or your international parcel. Then record the latest event and check whether it asks you to act. No new scan, by itself, does not prove loss or a customs seizure.
Find the correct order and tracking number
Use Order to follow the purchase from the seller and Parcel to follow an international shipment you submitted. The official beginner guide separates these stages. A domestic delivery to the warehouse is not delivery to your home.
Copy the tracking number exactly from the relevant record, along with the route and carrier shown. Do not substitute the purchase order ID for a carrier tracking number. If several items are involved, check which parcel actually contains the item you are waiting for.
Match the situation to the next action
The descriptions below are common shipping situations, not a list of guaranteed LitBuy status labels. Read the exact wording in your own record and follow any specific instructions it provides.
| What you see | What to establish | Useful next action |
|---|---|---|
| No international number | Has an international parcel actually been submitted or dispatched? | Check the parcel stage and any unpaid or incomplete step. |
| Number exists but carrier finds no record | Are you using the stated carrier and the correct number? | Compare the LitBuy parcel timeline; ask when and where this number becomes trackable. |
| No new event after a previous scan | What was the last event, when was it, and what does the selected service estimate? | Save the timeline and request an investigation if the delivery estimate has passed. |
| Information or clearance requested | Which verified carrier or authority is requesting which document? | Prepare the requested records and respond before its deadline. |
| Delivery attempted or collection requested | What action, location and deadline does the carrier give? | Use the official carrier channel to arrange the next step. |
| Delivered, but you do not have it | Does the delivery record match your address and any authorised recipient? | Check permitted safe places or reception, then report the mismatch promptly. |
When tracking has stopped updating
LitBuy’s shipping FAQ explains that updates depend on the route and carrier scans. Avoid applying a fixed waiting period from an unrelated shipment. Compare the latest event with the estimate attached to your own selected service.
Our suggested sequence is to verify the number, save the last event and date, check for a request requiring action, then ask a focused question about the current stage. If the estimate has passed, ask for an investigation and the deadline for any claim. An ongoing investigation is not a reason to let a claim deadline pass.
Check a delivery or customs issue separately
If a carrier says delivery was attempted, deal with its redelivery or collection instructions. If a parcel is marked delivered, save the delivery proof and record where you checked before opening a missing-parcel case. Do not wait for a new transit scan to solve a delivery-address problem.
For US shipments, CBP’s consumer guidance says it cannot track packages and recommends contacting the carrier first for tracking updates. A quiet tracking history is not proof that CBP holds the parcel. If an actual customs notice arrives, keep that notice and follow its verified instructions.
Send support a timeline they can investigate
Use one thread for the same parcel where possible. Include the reference numbers and the issue you need resolved rather than sending only “where is my package?”. Our suggested template:
Parcel: [number] Tracking number and carrier: [details] Route and destination: [details] Dispatch date: [date] Last tracking event: [exact wording, date and time zone if shown] Issue: [missing update / attempted delivery / marked delivered but missing] Checks already completed: [brief list] Please confirm the current stage, any action required, whether an investigation can be opened, and the applicable claim deadline.
If the parcel is damaged or an item is missing
Once the parcel arrives, the question changes from tracking to checking its contents. Preserve the label and packaging, compare the parcel’s item list and document the specific problem. A missing item may be in another parcel or still at the warehouse, so check that before reporting a shortage.
For a genuinely missing parcel, keep the carrier’s investigation reference and LitBuy’s case number together. Ask which evidence and process apply to that route; a tracking screenshot alone does not determine compensation.
