LitBuy Parcel Delivery: Check for Damage or Missing Items
Inspect the packaging, document any problem and keep the evidence you may need for a missing-item or damage request.
Keep the parcel, label and packing materials while you check the contents. Document the specific issue and compare the parcel list before reporting a missing item. Report problems promptly using the carrier and LitBuy procedures for your shipment.
Look at the parcel before opening it
LitBuy’s receipt guidance asks recipients to inspect packaging and record delivery problems. Where the delivery service permits it, ask the courier to note damage before signing. Follow the actual carrier procedure if inspection at the doorstep is unavailable.
Make a useful record
Our suggested evidence sequence starts with the unopened parcel and shipping label. Photograph damaged corners, disturbed seals or holes. Then document the packing and contents. A continuous unpacking video can provide context, but it does not guarantee approval of a claim.
- Keep the outer box, sealing tape and packing materials.
- Show the affected item clearly, including the damaged area.
- Compare the received pieces with the parcel’s item list.
Follow a simple evidence sequence
Our suggested sequence helps keep the event understandable without repeatedly unpacking or moving the contents. A photo or video is supporting evidence, not a guarantee of a successful claim.
| Sequence | Record |
|---|---|
| Before opening | Outer packaging, seals, label and any visible damage |
| During opening | How the contents were packed and the location of a damaged area |
| Contents laid out | Items received alongside the parcel contents list |
| Specific problem | Close-up and wider view of the same defect or missing component |
| Carrier contact | Report number, date and any written delivery note |
Separate a missing item from a split shipment
Before reporting a shortage, compare the parcel list with the purchase orders. An item may belong to another parcel or remain at the warehouse. If the list says it should be inside, identify the exact missing item and preserve the packaging.
Report the problem promptly
Contact LitBuy through its official support channel with the parcel number and evidence. If a carrier report is required, request it promptly and keep the reference number. Do not discard or alter the evidence while a case is open; ask support when it is safe to do so.
Example: one jacket appears to be missing
Illustrative scenario: you bought three jackets but opened a parcel containing two. First check whether all three are listed in that parcel. If only two are listed, look for the third in another parcel or in Warehouse. If three are listed, record the two received items, the packaging and the missing item’s order number.
State which comparison you completed when contacting support. This separates a shortage claim from a purchase that simply has not been shipped yet.
