PRACTICAL GUIDE

LitBuy warehouse storage: dates and fees

Know when your free storage ends, where to check overdue charges and how to plan a shipment before the deadline.

Start here

The detailed policy describes 90 free calendar days from stocking and listing, then fees from day 91 within a stated maximum storage period of 120 days. Check the record for each item; a new purchase does not restart an older item’s clock.

Use the date for each item

The detailed storage policy allows up to 120 days for purchased and forwarded items, with the first 90 calendar days free from stocking and listing. Fees begin on day 91. Use the warehouse record for each item rather than counting from the day you paid the seller.

Keep the storage timeline separate from the return window

Use this as a reading aid to the policy, not a substitute for the deadline displayed for your item. A seller return may have a much shorter deadline than warehouse storage.

Check the overdue bill

The published daily rate is 0.2% of the actual paid item price, with a minimum of CNY 1 per item per day and a CNY 300 monthly cap per item. Another note refers to declared inbound value as well as paid price, so confirm the billing basis for a forwarded item. The warehouse or order details show the bill.

Worked examples of the daily charge

These are hypothetical calculations using the published daily formula, not quotes for your account. They assume an ordinary purchased item, a known paid price and five chargeable days, without reaching a monthly cap.

  • The minimum applies per item: three separate CNY 200 items would be CNY 3 per day under these assumptions.
  • The published CNY 300 cap is monthly per item, not a flat fee or an extension of permitted storage.
  • For forwarded goods or bills spanning months, confirm the valuation and billing period used in your account.

Do not treat the limit as an extension

The policy describes disposal of overdue items and gives unmatched inbound parcels a separate 30-day period. Check your account deadline and resolve unmatched deliveries promptly. The wording about disposal conditions varies within the policy; ask support about your specific item before relying on extra time.

Plan around the oldest item

Our suggestion: keep a simple list of stock-in dates, the items still arriving and your intended shipping date. Waiting for one more purchase may save packing effort but create storage charges for earlier arrivals.

  • Review the oldest warehouse item first.
  • Set your own reminder before its free period ends.
  • Compare any overdue bill with the cost of shipping separately.

What to save when the deadline or bill looks wrong

Keep the item number, stock-in record, paid price or forwarding details, displayed deadline and itemised storage bill. Ask which start date, daily rate and valuation produced the amount. Include the screenshot showing the discrepancy.

If one late purchase is holding up a group, compare separate shipping with continued storage for the older items. Do not delay an urgent deadline while waiting for a perfect combined parcel.
