PRACTICAL GUIDE

How to Cancel a LitBuy Order or Request a Refund

Check the order stage, return eligibility and likely costs before asking LitBuy to cancel, exchange or return an item.

Start here

Check the order stage before choosing a remedy. A cancellation before purchase, a seller return from the warehouse and a parcel claim after dispatch are different processes. Save the stock-in time and contact support promptly when an item needs returning.

Start with the stage shown in your account

Open the specific order and record its current status. Use the table as a way to frame your request, not a promise that a cancellation or refund is available at every stage.

Order stageWhat to askWhat to preserve
Not yet purchasedCan this request still be cancelled, and has purchasing already started?Order number and current status
Purchased or sent by sellerCan the seller stop dispatch or approve a return?Seller option, dispatch record and reply
Stored at warehouseIs this item eligible for return or exchange within the applicable window?Stock-in timestamp, QC evidence, tags and packaging
Submitted for international shippingHas packing or dispatch started, and can the request still be changed?Parcel status and the items selected
Already sent internationallyWhich after-sales or carrier process applies to this issue?Parcel number, tracking and evidence of the problem

Check the return clock immediately

The official domestic-return guidance describes a five-day warehouse window for eligible seller returns. The detailed text ties the 120-hour period to the warehouse status timestamp and the following hour. Record the displayed time and ask support to confirm your exact deadline, including the time zone. Do not wait until the last day to resolve how it is counted.

Eligibility also depends on the seller’s agreement and the item’s condition. A stated window is not a guarantee that every item or reason qualifies. Keep the original tags, seals, accessories and packaging while deciding.

Explain a defect differently from a change of mind

For a wrong size, colour, missing part or visible damage, pair the original order detail with the relevant warehouse image. Point to the mismatch instead of describing the whole item as “bad”. For a change of mind, state that clearly and ask about eligibility and deductions.

Illustrative example: you ordered a blue jacket in size M, but the received label shows size L. Save the selected option and a readable label photo. If the tag says M but the fit is uncertain, request a comparable measurement rather than claiming the label itself is wrong.

Ask for the net refund, not just a return fee

The returns notice requires approval and directs users to the address supplied by support. It identifies charges that may not be refundable, while its domestic-return passages differ on outbound postage treatment. Get an itemised quote for your order.

Illustrative arithmetic only: if an approved refundable item amount were CNY 120 and confirmed deductions were CNY 25, the net amount would be CNY 95. Those numbers are not LitBuy fees. Establish whether each charge has already been paid, will be deducted, or must be paid separately to avoid counting it twice.

  • What item amount is refundable?
  • Who pays each domestic shipping leg?
  • Are there service or processing deductions?
  • Are any previously paid charges non-refundable?
  • Where will the approved refund be sent, and what processing estimate applies?

Submit one request with the supporting records

Use the official order or support channel and keep the approval in writing. Do not send an item to the address printed on a parcel simply because it appears to be the seller’s return address. Our suggested request:

Message template — replace the bracketed details
Order: [number]
Current status and stock-in time: [details]
Ordered option: [size / colour / version]
Reason: [specific mismatch, defect or change of mind]
Evidence: [saved option and relevant photos]
Requested outcome: [cancel / return / exchange]
Please confirm eligibility, the exact deadline, every charge or deduction, the approved return process and the expected refund method before proceeding.

Follow approval, return and refund as separate steps

A submitted request is not an approved return. After approval, retain the return reference or tracking record and monitor the next update. If an exchange is proposed, confirm the replacement option, any price difference and how the new item will be checked.

For a refund, record the approved amount and expected payment method. If that stated processing period passes, follow up with the case number and approval date. Avoid opening a replacement purchase until you understand whether the original will be cancelled, exchanged or kept.

What if the return window has passed?

Ask support whether any remedy remains for the specific problem and preserve the evidence. Do not assume that warehouse storage time extends the seller’s return window: those clocks serve different purposes.

If the parcel has already left China or arrives damaged, use the relevant after-sales process. Parcel insurance is not a substitute for an ordinary change-of-mind seller return.
